REMEMBER, YOU'RE

Welcome, friends!

If you’ve landed here, chances are you’re someone who values beauty and function, flow and intention – in your business, your creative process, and your everyday life. That’s exactly what I aim to support here at Luminous Leap.

With our first post on the blog (yay!), I thought it would be the perfect place to share a lovingly curated list of tools that help me stay grounded, organized, and creatively lit up – both in my business as a designer and in my day-to-day life.

Whether you’re a fellow creative entrepreneur, a coach, a healer, or just someone navigating the online world with intuition – these are the tools I’m coming back to again and again. They support my design work, client communication, workflow, marketing, and digital wellness.

Some of these are affiliate links, which means I may get a small kickback from your participation. However, I would never promote anything I don’t actually use – so these are all genuinely shared for your benefit (and many of them have free plans that I still use)! We all get by with a little help from our friends, right? So let’s get into it!

Best Tools For: Design

Showit – My absolute favorite website platform, and what I build all my client websites on. Showit gives me full creative freedom (no code necessary) and supports SEO beautifully. If you’re looking for an aligned website builder for your personal brand, coaching business, or creative studio, here’s a free month for you!

Canva – Sometimes you just need something quick and beautiful! Canva is my go-to for content creation, social templates, and inspiration boards. I recommend it to all my clients, especially those who want an easy way to maintain brand visuals post-launch.

Figma – For my initial design mockups and brand concepts, Figma is where the vision can take form. It’s cloud-based, collaborative, and intuitive – perfect for prototyping and co-creating with clients or team members.

Adobe Suite – for refined design work, Adobe can be top-tier. I use Photoshop for editing and graphics, and Illustrator for vector-based logos and brand elements.

Best Tools For: Business & Workflows (& My Nervous System!)

HoneyBook – a major nervous system win! HoneyBook handles CRM, contracts, invoices, forms, and project timelines in one elegant space. It keeps client communication seamless and allows me to show up fully in my zone of genius. Even better: you can get 30% off your subscription here!

Gmail + Outlook – I mainly use Outlook for client communication and newsletters, but I keep Gmail in the mix for my personal emails. Keeping inboxes organized helps me stay in integrity with my time and energy.

Chase Ink Business Credit Card – a great card for small business owners in Texas and beyond. Easy to use, great rewards, and clean tracking for taxes. Earn 90,000 bonus points with the Ink Business Preferred card or up to $1,000 bonus cash back with the Ink Business Premier card, Ink Business Unlimited card or Ink Business Cash card. Alternatively, you can get $300 when you open a qualifying Chase checking account and complete qualifying activities.

Notion – My digital brain! I use Notion to track projects, plan my week, map out launches or content ideas, keep my task lists, and organize my home life. It’s minimal, customizable, and very in tune with how my brain works sometimes. And, it’s free!

Google Drive – simple and reliable. I use Drive to organize client assets – brand guides, images, fonts, and strategy docs. It keeps everything backed up and easy to share.

PayPal – still one of the simplest payment gateways, especially for clients who need flexible options. New to PayPal? Earn $10 cash back when you sign up.

GoDaddy – I purchase all my domain names here. Simple, reliable, and easy to manage!

Best Tools For: Alignment, Marketing, & Automation

Kit – this is the email marketing platform I use to stay in touch with my community. Whether I’m sharing a new Showit template, a blog post like this one, or just an inspired download, Kit makes it easy.

Thrivecart – I use Thrivecart to sell my digital products, like templates and resources. It’s amazing for one-click upsells and creating a seamless checkout experience that feels elevated. As of now, they still have a “Lifetime Account” promo, where you can grab the software for a one-time fee (no subscription necessary).

Zapier – the silent connector. Zapier automates all the little tasks between platforms so I can stay focused on creating instead of clicking.

1Password – simple, secure password storage. Especially important when you’re managing multiple websites or client logins. It’s digital peace of mind, and I literally would lose my brain without it!

Guidde – If you’re needing to document processes or build visual guides for a team (or even future you), Guidde is a dream. I use it to visualize workflows in a clear way.

Loom – great for quick, client walkthroughs, whether I’m explaining a Showit template, or delivering a site tutorial. I love how personal it feels.

Best For: Social

Instagram – still my favorite for building relationships. I use it to share behind-the-scenes content, client launches, and aligned offerings (come hang out; I’d love to connect!)

Pinterest – admittedly, I’m still kind of invisible on the platform, but it really is the underrated marketing queen. My plan soon is to use Pinterest to share my work and attract aligned clients who are searching for design inspiration or website templates.

Facebook – I mostly use this for groups and community-based connections, especially inside niche businesses and human design spaces.

Final Words

Every tool on this list is one I’ve chosen intentionally – not because it’s trendy, but because it supports the way I want to feel in my business: clear, grounded, creative, and connected.

If you’re in a season of refining your systems or building your brand from the ground up, I hope this list helps you find what works for you. Tech can feel overwhelming, but with the right tools (and the right energy), it becomes part of your sacred support system.

If you have any favorites I should check out, let me know! I’m always up for a tools-and-flow chat. And whenever you’re ready to elevate your brand experience even more, book a call with us at Luminous Leap to schedule your design!

With love from Austin,

Gillian
